Selection for SBI probationary officer vacancies 2023 will be conducted through three phases:

• preliminary exam
• main exam

Phase 1: SBI PO Initial Examination

The SBI PO 2022 preliminary examination consists of a 100-mark multiple choice objective test and will be conducted online. The online objective test will be divided into 3 parts (each part is individually timed) as follows:

Stage 2: SBI PO Main Exam

The main exam will be conducted online and will consist of a multiple choice objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks. SBI PO Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the objective test and candidates will have to enter the descriptive test answers on the computer.

The duration of SBI Trainee Officer Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. This will be an English language test (letter writing and essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks.

Negative mark: Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to Preliminary and Main Exams): There will be a penalty for marking wrong answers in the objective test.

Stage Three: SBI PO Psychological Test/Interview/Group Exercise

Psychological Test: The Bank will conduct psychological test for personality analysis of the candidates shortlisted for the third phase of SBI Trainee Officer. Test results may be presented to the interview panel to get a complete picture of the candidate.

The third stage of the SBI trainee may consist of group exercises (20 points) and interviews (30 points).

Candidates must successfully pass Stage 2 and Stage 3 assessments independently. The scores from the main examination (Phase 2) consisting of objective and descriptive tests will be combined with the scores from Phase 3 to determine the final list of winners. It is important to note that the results of the preliminary examination (Phase 1) will not be included in the final merit list used for the selection process.
